Nest For Families
Nest began with a small group of people in West Hawaii with one primary goal in mind - to support parents with newborns through their breastfeeding struggles. Now, while breastfeeding support is still one of our key roles, we have expanded our capacity and actively work to improve the lives of those in our community by:
- Engaging families in ongoing peer support through texts and phone calls through their infant's first year
- Supporting families to feed their babies breast milk followed by other nourishing foods at six months old
- Connecting families with virtual Hui groups that promote positive early growth and development
- Providing a direct link for families in needs of services through our partnerships with Early Head Start, Early Intervention, Island Therapeutic Specialists, LLC., and others
Today, we are proud to continue to provide these services and more not just to our local community here in West Hawaii, but to families across the state.
